Monthly Mizuko Kuyo

For families who have previously received Mizuko Kuyo at Myousenzi Temple, the head priest offers memorial prayers on the 18th of every month and sends a report by email.

What is Monthly Mizuko Kuyo?

Monthly Mizuko Kuyo is a memorial service conducted once a month by the head priest of Myousenzi Temple on behalf of people who cannot visit because of work, distance, health, or other circumstances.

The service is held on the 18th of every month, and a memorial report is sent to your registered email address afterward.

Although no travel is required, we encourage you to join in prayer for your child at home on the day of the service.

Important eligibility and payment information

Monthly Mizuko Kuyo is available only to families who have previously received an in-person or online Mizuko Kuyo service at Myousenzi Temple. It cannot be requested as your first memorial service.

Please first arrange an individual Mizuko Kuyo service with us.

When paying by credit card, the offering is 2,000 JPY every month. For payments made at the temple, by bank transfer, or by PayPay, a six-month prepayment of 12,000 JPY is required.

How Monthly Mizuko Kuyo works

STEP 1

Apply through the inquiry form

Use the inquiry form to tell us that you would like to request the Monthly Mizuko Kuyo service.

STEP 2

Arrange payment of the memorial offering

For credit-card payment, we will email instructions for setting up the recurring monthly charge. Payments made at the temple, by bank transfer, or by PayPay are accepted as a six-month prepayment. To stop the service, please contact us by the 10th of the month.

STEP 3

The monthly memorial is held on the 18th

On the 18th of every month, the head priest of Myousenzi Temple sincerely offers prayers during the Monthly Mizuko Kuyo service.

STEP 4

After the service

After the memorial service, a report will be sent to your registered email address.

Memorial offering and payment

The Monthly Mizuko Kuyo offering is 2,000 JPY every month.

Payment is accepted by credit card, at the temple, by bank transfer, or by PayPay.

Cancellation of Monthly Mizuko Kuyo

To cancel the monthly service, please contact us by email by the 10th of the month.

If we do not receive your request by then, the recurring credit-card charge will be processed automatically.

For offerings prepaid at the temple, by bank transfer, or by PayPay, the remaining balance will be refunded after deducting a 1,000 JPY administration fee and any applicable transfer fee.
