Online Mizuko Kuyo

Join the Memorial Service from Home

For those unable to visit the temple, learn how to join a private Mizuko Kuyo service online, mail memorial items, and complete payment.

What is an online Mizuko Kuyo service?

This service is for people who wish to arrange Mizuko Kuyo but cannot visit because of distance, illness, mobility, work, or other circumstances.

The memorial service conducted at Myousenzi Temple is shared privately through an agreed online video service so you can join by computer or smartphone.

Service details and items you will receive

Prayers and a memorial service are conducted before the Mizuko Kannon statue. The service takes approximately 30 minutes.

Apart from the private online video stream, the service is the same as an in-person Mizuko Kuyo service.

If you would like ultrasound photographs or a maternity record book included in the memorial, please mail them to Myousenzi Temple in advance.
After the service, the temple will keep them and respectfully conduct a ceremonial burning. (Items cannot be returned after they have been entrusted to the temple.)

After the service, a Myousenzi card-style protective charm will be mailed to you.

Item mailed after the online service

Online memorial services are suitable for those who live far from Okayama, have difficulty leaving home, cannot take time to travel, or would feel more comfortable attending privately from home.
