What is Mizuko Kuyo?

What is Mizuko Kuyo?

Mizuko Kuyo is a Buddhist memorial service in which a small life that was unable to be born into this world is entrusted to the compassionate care of Mizuko Jibo Kannon, while prayers are offered for the child’s peace and repose. It is also a precious time of prayer that gently eases feelings of grief and regret and wishes for the child’s spirit to rest peacefully.

At Myousenzi Temple, prayers and a memorial service are conducted before the Mizuko Kannon statue so that the child’s spirit may be surrounded by peace and light.

Please arrange Mizuko Kuyo for the child who was unable to be born and also for yourself.

We remain close to the feelings of each family and sincerely conduct the memorial service, helping guide you toward peace of mind.

Please feel at ease when visiting us.
